How it plays out

"The Rujarkian Hills burn. You wake in the shape of an orc war leader, and your warband is scattered. Brakka Ironjaw's company is coming to finish it."

1. Rally the warband. "Six of your warriors are held by raiders across the hills. Kill each captor and [hail] the orc to free it." If its captor is still alive: "The orc is still held by its captor." Each orc you free heads to a war post ("Warchief! They had me in chains!"). "Six warriors stand with you. Now build."
2. Build the posts. "Three war posts cover the ways into your hold. [Hail] each post and choose what goes up there." Each post asks: "A [barricade] holds back the first of every rush, a [ballista] shoots anything that comes close, a [totem] heals you while you stand by it." "The posts are ready. On the ridge, torches -- Brakka's company is coming."
3. Hold the siege. Four waves hit your posts, each bigger than the last: "The first rush hits the west post.", "They split -- centre and east!", "All three posts at once!", "Brakka throws everything he has left at you." Orcs that die stay dead. "The siege breaks. Brakka Ironjaw walks down from the ridge alone. 'You and me, orc.'"
4. Duel Ironjaw. "No company, no posts. You and me." Your surviving warriors form a ring around the fight, and each one wounds him before you start, so every orc you kept alive helps. Partway through: "Two of Brakka's last men break the ring!" "Brakka Ironjaw goes down in the dirt of the hills."
5. The ending. "The warband roars. The hills are yours tonight." Brakka, bleeding: "Thorne was right. You are not an orc. You are the same thing... every time. She is going to Takish-Hiz to end it where it began."

If the run fails: "The last warband falls, and the shape you wore falls with it."
