LDoN Raid: The Rujarkian Hills: Hidden Vale of Deceit

What the recruiter says

Hail: Chaenz Abella gleams at you eagerly. 'Greetings, ! Such hustle and bustle about, it's amazing how far the Wayfarer's Brotherhood has come in such a short time! I've been charged with welcoming new recruits while Morden is off exploring. In the meantime, I've got to focus on my duties. As always we could use stalwart lads and lasses to help us with our adventuring! If you can rally the call of your friends perhaps you can help us with a serious [problem].'

[problem]: Chaenz Abella says, 'Our scout, Nevlen, just got back from the Rujarkian Hills after looking into a rumor of a huge stockpile of ill-gotten orcish treasure. He and his companion Crispen discovered that the rumor was true! We want to go back in and search for more of the treasure, but we have been told the orcs may be waiting for our arrival. We need to you get down there quickly to gather more samples from their stores before they move them! Are you [interested]?'

[interested]: Chaenz Abella says, 'Splendid! You should begin right away, but keep on your guard while searching for the treasure. They may be waiting for you.'

How it plays out

1. Talk to Crispen Koloff. The scout is waiting inside. Hail him and follow his [news], [worst of it], [There's more] and [last of it] topics: the orcs are taking samples from captive beasts to brew a serum, and both the beasts and the researchers must be destroyed. As you move through the caves, zone messages describe what lies ahead (for example, "The halls ahead bustle with activity...").
2. Destroy the four Violent Research Subjects. A tortured boar, wolf, bear and goblin are held in separate areas. Each one has a Steelslave Research Assistant beside it, who runs off when its beast dies: "Blast! No matter, I've already gotten one sample for the serum! The researchers will be most pleased to have this back in their possession! Fools!" Each kill also brings the message "The sounds of crumbling stone, digging miners, and the bellows of slave masters don't mask the cries of tortured slaves and beasts..."
3. Kill the three Steelslave Researchers. Once all four subjects are dead, three Steelslave Researchers appear. Killing all three brings "Your victory has weakened a shroud of magic cloaking the dungeon's treasure." followed by "Our master be warned, the Wayfarers are on their way!"
4. Take the Battlelord's room. The Flawless Experimental Battlelord now waits with two more Steelslave Researchers, Flawless Experimental Brutes and rows of dormant Flawed Mutations. If both of these Researchers die while the Battlelord is still standing, you see "Your victory has weakened a shroud of magic cloaking the dungeon's treasure." again.
5. Kill the Flawless Experimental Battlelord. This ends the raid: "You have put a stop to an imminent danger to Norrath. The orc responsible for the creation of these gargantuan beasts has fled to continue his plots of orcish superiority..." and "Your victory has shattered the shroud of magic cloaking the dungeon's treasure."

Reward

Two reward chests appear when the Battlelord dies. A third appears if both of the Battlelord's Steelslave Researchers were killed before him.
