LDoN Raid: Takish-Hiz: Sunken Library

Recruiter: Tarakix V`Rasyrn, North Desert of Ro camp · Theme: Takish-Hiz · Portal: Northern Desert of Ro

What the recruiter says

Hail: Tarakix V`Rasyrn glares at you, as if sizing you up. 'Well, are you going to stand there and gawk at me like a severed fishhead, or do you possess some minor semblance of skill and intellect? If you can rally the call of your friends perhaps you can help us with a serious [problem].'

[problem]: Tarakix V`Rasyrn says, 'Well then, 'friend'. We have recently discovered that the sand elves within Takish-Hiz are planning to perform a ritual ceremony soon. We will need a raid of foolish... Er, brave adventurers to head into the depths of the sandy caves to investigate and bring a halt to the ceremony, if possible. Be on your guard, for there are sure to be many guards and other insidious traps in place to stop you. Are you [interested]?'

[interested]: Tarakix V`Rasyrn says, 'Good luck, . You will need it.'

How it plays out

  1. Destroy the golems and their Flowkeepers (optional, for extra chests). Five golems called the Sands of Knowledge and five called the Sands of Life roam the library. When every golem of one kind is dead, its Flowkeeper comes: "Visions of endless knowledge and lore flash through your mind. The Flowkeeper of Knowledge has come." (or "...all things life and growth... The Flowkeeper of Life has come."). Killing a Flowkeeper brings "The ground rumbles and shakes, a mystic veil has been lifted revealing the hidden treasure of the sand elves."
  2. Kill the three Jeweled Guardians. Bathas, Faetran and Myriana stand between the entrance and the Geomancer. When the third falls: "Shouts are heard from further in and a voice stands above the rest saying, 'My brethren of the Jeweled Guard prepare yourselves! We must not allow the Ceremony to be stopped!'" and "Guards have come to stop the adventurers from interrupting the ceremony."
  3. Kill the two Jeweled Champions. Ridhaz and Wayvia take up guard on the way to Paara. When both are dead: "From nearby Geomancer Paara stirs from her trancelike state stopping her continual chanting and says, 'Fools you will come no further those that disturb the Ceremony of Renewal will pay with their lives!'"
  4. Kill Geomancer Paara. Until the champions fall she is lost in her chant and cannot be fought. Her death ends the raid: "Your victory has shattered the shroud of magic surrounding the dungeon's treasure." and "The mighty Geomancer whispers something unintelligible as she falls to the ground in defeat. You have accomplished a mighty feat in stopping the Ceremony of Renewal..." If a Flowkeeper is still alive, you are told: "A veil of sand still hides part of the sand elves' treasure. Its Flowkeeper yet lives."

Reward

Paara's chest always appears when she dies. Each Flowkeeper killed adds one more chest (up to three in total); a Flowkeeper killed after Paara still adds its chest.
